Kemper Williams and his wife Leila Moore Williams has grown into a multi - building complex that is part museum, part archive, and entirely essential for anyone who wants to understand New Orleans beyond the party.The exhibition galleries occupy restored 18th - and 19th - century Creole buildings, some of which survived both fire and flood, and the architecture is itself an argument for preservation.
