About this museum
Das Konzentrationslager Rab (auch Arbe oder Kampor genannt) war während des Zweiten Weltkrieges das größte und brutalste italienische Konzentrationslager für jugoslawische Zivilisten. Es wurde zwischen Juli 1942 und September 1943 betrieben und befand sich auf der dalmatischen Insel Rab (ital. Arbe) nahe des Dorfes Kampor. Infolge des Balkanfeldzugs der Achsenmächte war die Insel durch das faschistische Italien annektiert worden.
