About this museum
Anadolu'da kurulan ilk arkeoloji müzesi ve İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzesi'nden sonra Türkiye'de açılan ikinci arkeoloji müzesidir. Özellikle Roma dönemine ait mermer lahitler açısından dünyaca önemli bir müzedir. Çatalhöyük'ten çıkan Neolitik devir buluntuları, Asur Koloni Dönemi'ne ait hamam mimarisine ait parçalar, Roma Dönemi heykelleri müzedeki diğer önemli eserlerdendir.
