Der Portikus ist eine Ausstellungsinstitution für zeitgenössische Kunst in Frankfurt am Main und gilt durch sein international renommiertes Programm als eins der wichtigsten Häuser für zeitgenössische Kunst. Er wurde 1987 in einem Containerraum hinter dem klassizistischen Säulenfrontispiz der Alten Stadtbibliothek eröffnet und befindet sich seit 2006 auf der Maininsel an der Alten Brücke. Neben aktuellen Arbeiten von international bekannten Künstlern werden auch zunehmend Positionen junger Künstler gezeigt.
