About this museum
Schloss Tiefurt ist ein kleines Landschloss an der Ilm im Ortsteil Tiefurt der Stadt Weimar, etwa vier Kilometer östlich des Stadtzentrums gelegen. Das Schloss war Sommersitz der Herzogin Anna Amalia von Sachsen - Weimar - Eisenach. Zusammen mit dem Schlosspark Tiefurt gehört es seit 1998 als Teil des Ensembles „Klassisches Weimar" zum UNESCO - Weltkulturerbe. Schloss Tiefurt hat den Denkmalsbereich Denkmalensemble Schloss und Park Tiefurt: Sachgesamtheit nach § 2 Abs. 1 ThDSchG; Geltungsbereich: innerhalb Robert - Blum - Straße - Denstedter Straße - nördlicher Geländekante - Ortslage Tiefurt.
